Karuveppilai Kuzhambu - Curry Leaves

Ingredients
  • Tamarind extract - Small lemon sized
  • Small onion – 10
  • Garlic - 6
  • Curry leaves - 3/4 cup
  • Tomato small -1
  • Red chillies powder – 1 tbsp
  • Coriander powder – 2 tbsp
  • Sesame oil - 3 tbsp
  •  Mustard seeds- 1 tsp
  •  Asafoetida – a  pinch
  • Fenugreek seeds -1/2 tsp
  • Salt needed
Preparation


  • Heat a tsp of oil, then add curry leaves, toss it for a few seconds. Put it in a mixer grinder and add coriander powder, red chilli powder,   little water grind everything like a smooth paste. Soak tamarind in water, extract tamarind juice. Keep it aside.
  • Heat the pan with oil and add mustard seeds, when it splutters, add fenugreek seeds, asafoetida, onion garlic and tomato. Saute until color change.
  • Now add tamarind water allow to boil for 2 mints. Then add the ground past and required salt, mix well.
  • Reduce the flame and cook until the kulambu gets thick and oil exudes out.
  • Ready to taste the Curry Leaves Kuzhambu.
  • Ready to serve south Indian special with rice, idly and chapathi. 
  • Curry Leaves Kuzhambu is very good for health and yummy.
