Adai Dosai Recipes

Ingredients
  •  Idly rice - 1 cup 
  •  Raw rice -1 cup
  • Channa dal - 1/2 cup
  • Toor dal - 1/4 cup
  • Urad dal - 3 tbsp 
  • Small onions - 1/4 cup chopped
  • Coriander leaves few chopped
  • Curry leaves few chopped
  • Jeera – 1/2 tsp 
  • Fennel seeds – 1/2tsp 
  • Black pepper – 1 tsp 
  • Asafetida – ½ tsp
  • Ginger – 1 inch
  • Red chillies – 6 (adjust according to your taste)
  • Tomato - 1
  • Chopped coconut few pieces (optional)
  • Salt
Preparation
  • Wash and soak rice and dal for 4 hrs.
  • Now in mixer grinder add jeera, fennel, pepper,ginger, tomato, red chilli, salt, asafoetida and rice.  Grind well and then add all the dal and grind coarsely (dal should not be fine paste).  
  • Now mix both rice and dal mixture together. You can use the mixture after 2 hrs or immediately can taste.  
  • Before making adai dosai add all the chopped onions, coriander, curry leaves and mix well.
  • The batter should be slightly thicker, adjust water as required.  
  • Heat the dosa pan with little oil and spread pour a ladle full of adai batter.
  • It’s your choice you can make it thick or thin adai dosai.
  • Put some oil on the dosai and reduce the flame to medium.
  • Cover and cook for 1 minute,then flip the adai dosa and  add little oil and cook till it turn golden brown.
  • Ready to serve South Indian special Tiffin Adai dosa recipe with coconut chutney and sugar.

Tip:
You can even add other dals too, this make healthy dosai.
