Chicken Fry | Spicy Chicken Dry Roast

Ingredients
  • Chicken small pieces -   ½ kg
  • Cinnamon – small piece
  • Cloves – 3
  • Onion – 1 chopped
  • Tomato – 1 small
  • Turmeric powder - ¼ tsp
  • Lemon juice - 1 tsp
  • Yoghurt - 1 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste - 2 tbsp
  • Pepper powder - 2 tsp
  • Coconut paste – 3 tsp
  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Curry leaves and coriander leaves.
  • Salt
Dry roast:
  • Coriander seed - 2 tsp
  • Red chilli - 3 tsp
  • Fennel seeds – 1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds – 1tsp
  • Poppy seed – 1 tsp
Preparation
  • Clean and wash the Chicken pieces.
  • Marinate the chicken with curd and lemon, keep aside for 15 mins.
  • Now dry roast the ingredient and make fine paste.
  • Heat the pan with oil, add Cinnamon, Cloves and then add onion, fry till golden brown, then add chicken, ginger garlic paste fry till raw smell goes off.
  • Now add tomato, turmeric, dry roasted past, coconut paste and mix well. Add little water, cover and cook till chicken cooks well.
  • Finally, add pepper powder and mix well, uncover and cook for 5 mins in low flame. 
  • Sprinkle coriander and curry leave.
  • Ready to serve South Indian special side dish Chicken Fry(Spicy Chicken Dry Roast) with Rice, chappathi.
